Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif directed the party leaders to prepare for upcoming Punjab elections.
Shehbaz Sharif asked the leaders to prepare a strategy to run the election campaign, calling for applications from the candidates for Punjab Assembly elections.
PML-N President stated: “Under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, we have always brought the country out of crises and we will do same in the future”.
He also directed the parliamentary boards to finalize the lists of candidates in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The party president directed the candidates to submit the nomination papers in their respective constituencies in view of the announcement of March 14 as the last date for submission in Punjab province by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
ECP has announced April 30 as the date for the Punjab Assembly elections in the light of the Supreme Court's directive.
