The date of the poll has been conveyed by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday notified to hold general elections for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on October 8.
According to the Election Commission, the date of the poll has been conveyed by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali in compliance with orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Suo Moto case no 1 of 2023, Constitutional Petition no 1&2 of 2023.
It is pertinent to note that ECP postponed the Punjab Assembly elections to be held on April 30 and has given the date to October 8.
In this regard, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has also filed an application in the Supreme Court, on which a 5-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal has been hearing for two days.
