The security forces launched a successful operation and killed eight terrorists including Commander Jan Muhammad who was known as Chargh.


Rawalpindi: A soldier was martyred and eight terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Shinwarsak region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's South Waziristan district, the Inter-services Public Relations said on Wednesday.
The military’s media wing said that during the operation, security personnel engaged in an intense exchange of fire with the terrorists. It said that the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists' location, resulting in the deaths of eight terrorists, including their commander Jan Muhammad, also known as Chargh.

The ISPR announced that 31-year-old Sepoy Hamid Rasool, who was from Rawalpindi district, was martyred during the gunfight with the terrorists, while two officers and two other security personnel were injured.
It also that weapons and ammunition were confiscated from the slain terrorists, who were actively engaged in terror activities against security forces and had been involved in the killing of innocent citizens.
The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan's security forces are resolute in their determination to eradicate terrorism, and the sacrifices of their brave soldiers only strengthens their resolve.
