Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Senator Talha Mehmood Tuesday appointed as Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, GNN reported.
According to details, Cabinet Division issued a notification after the agreement of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehabz Sharif regarding appointment of Senator Talha Mahmood as Federal Minister.
Talha Mehmood has been given additional responsibilities of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, previously he was also performing his part in Ministry of States and Frontier Regions.
It is pertinent to note that three days ago Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor died in a traffic accident in Islamabad after which Senator Talha Mehmood will be holding the responsibilities of the post.
