Finance minister Ishaq Dar stated that federal government has nothing to do with attack on Pervez Elahi’s residence.


Lahore: Federal government condemned the attack on Pakiatsn Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s residence in Lahore, GNN reported.
According to details, the center blamed caretaker government of Punjab for the attack stating that the federal government was not aware of it.
In this regard Finance minister Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi stating that federal government has nothing to do with attack on Pervez Elahi’s residence.
“The operation done by Punjab caretaker government,” he adding stating that we would inform PTI about our emotions. He also expressed sorrow over the attack.
To show solidarity with PTI president Elahi, Shah Memood reached his residence in Lahore.
Talking to media Shah said that even after knowing that those personalities are residneing in this house who are cooperation with the government still they attacked them without any search warrant which is condemnable.
Federal interior minister Rana Sanaullah also distant himself clearly stating that, “I was not aware of attack on Elahi’s residence”.
“I got to know about it through media. Police should not have entered the house by breaking the gate, no one should be allowed to do such thing,” stated interior minister.
Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and senior law expert Aitzaz Ahsan said that he strong condemn what happed with Elahi and his family.
Attack on PTI president’s residence has become a mystery as federal and Punjab both governments are not ready to take the responsibility.
Earlier on Friday night, a heavy contingent of Punjab police stormed at Chaudhry’s residence to arrest him. After six-hour long long operation Director General of Punjab's Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sohail Zafar Chattha left the scene along with the police force.
