More 10 tanks containing 600 tons of LPG are present at border trade terminal after clearance from Spin Boldak.


Islamabad: Pakistan has imported low rate 160 tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Turkmenistan via Chaman border Afghanistan to control energy crisis in the country, GNN reported.
According to details, the first batch of the supply has reached Pakistan. More 10 tanks containing 600 tons of LPG are present at border trade terminal after clearance from Spin Boldak.
Officials stated that after required proceeding the tankers will be transferred to Peshawar. The president of LPG plant owner stated that 25% low-cost LPG as compared to Iran was agreed by Turkmenistan.
The import will not only make the availability of LPG cost-effective but also reduce the energy crisis in the country.
