PIA plane uses Indian airspace owing to torrential rain in Lahore
The flight landed safely at Multan Airport after passing through Indian airspace.
Lahore: The flight No. PK248 of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) could not land at the Lahore airport and entered the Indian airspace due to heavy rain in Lahore.
PIA airplane was coming from the Saudi city of Dammam to Lahore when the plane had to be diverted to Multan due to heavy rains.
In order to turn towards Multan, the flight had to reach the airspace of the Indian city of Ferozepur, which was allowed by Indian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The flight landed safely at Multan Airport after passing through Indian airspace.
