Lahore: All Government schools, colleges and universities to remain closed in Punjab today as PTI Chairman Imran Khan is Arrested by NAB.
The decision was made after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Chairman of the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The PTI chief’s arrest triggered protests by PTI workers across the country.
Following the development, the Punjab government announced that all government schools, colleges, and universities in the province would remain closed, according to the Lahore Education Authority.
In addition, the ban of the ninth group has been revoked throughout Punjab, as per the Secretary of Higher Education. The announcement of the new date for the translation of the ninth group's Quranic banner will be made later, the Secretary added.
