Lahore: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that the police surrounded his house in Zaman Park.
Imran Khan, the Chairman of PTI, compared his criticism of the army to how he criticized his own children, emphasizing that it was for the purpose of bringing about reforms.
Imran Khan also expressed his belief that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was attempting to create a confrontation between the army and PTI. He questioned the outcome of such a confrontation and who would emerge as the winner.
Highlighting his support for the army, Imran Khan stated that he had defended it on international platforms, distinguishing himself as someone who vehemently advocated for the army's interests. He asserted that his actions were motivated by his commitment to freedom and his refusal to accept subjugation.
Meanwhile, Punjab police have gathered outside Imran Khan's residence in Zaman Park for the purpose of his arrest, as confirmed by a correspondent who is present at the scene. The area surrounding the former premier's residence has been sealed off by the police.
Expressing his concerns about the future of Pakistan, Imran Khan addressed the nation via a video message, stating his fear that the country is heading towards destruction. He emphasized the need for wise decision-making to prevent further deterioration, expressing the apprehension that it might become increasingly difficult to recover from the consequences if immediate action is not taken.
