Washington: 60 members of the US Congress wrote a letter to the Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the situation in Pakistan.
The letter calls for pressure to ensure respect for democratic values and human rights in Pakistan.
Apart from this, it expressed concern over the crackdown against political opponents, while also emphasizing on investigating any violation of freedom of expression and assembly.
Pakistani-American Political Action Committee also known as Pak PAC played a role in sending the letter to the US Secretary of State, it has also lobbied some time ago.
