Security tightened in Zaman Park as the Punjab Government deadline approaches today.

Lahore: The atmosphere in Lahore's Zaman Park remains tense as the clock ticks down on the 24-hour ultimatum given by the Punjab Government to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hand over alleged terrorists reportedly holed up inside Imran Khan's residence.
The deadline is set to expire at 2 pm today, and security measures have been heightened in the area.
In order to ensure safety and control access, all roads leading to PTI Chairman Imran Khan's city center residence have been blocked, with strict identification checks being enforced for anyone seeking entry.
Amidst speculations of Imran Khan's potential arrest, Punjab caretaker Information Minister, Amir Mir, clarified that no immediate plans have been made to apprehend him.
Earlier, Imran Khan himself expressed concerns about an impending arrest, alleging that his house was surrounded by the police in a tweet.
Minister Amir Mir revealed that the police possess credible intelligence reports suggesting the presence of 30-40 individuals with alleged terrorist connections in Zaman Park.
He emphasized that if Imran Khan requests their departure, the police will proceed with their arrests.
During a press conference, Minister Mir issued a stern warning to the PTI, urging them to comply with the ultimatum and hand over the individuals in question.
Failure to do so, he asserted, would lead to legal consequences.
