Tragic road accident claims life of prominent Indian actor

Mumbai: Renowned Indian actor Suchandra Dasgupta tragically passed away in a road accident shortly after completing a shoot in Bengal state.

According to the Indian media reports, Dasgupta met with the accident while returning home in Panihati city from the sets in Sodepur district. The incident occurred when the motorcycle she had booked through an application had to brake abruptly to avoid a cyclist.

Unfortunately, she fell from the bike and was fatally struck by a truck. Despite wearing a helmet, it shattered upon impact.

The truck driver was later arrested.

Dasgupta was widely known for her work in various popular Bengali serials, and her notable role in the show 'Gauri' contributed to her rise to fame.
