Babar Azam to join Colombo Strikers in LPL
Pakistani Captain Babar Azam is directly acquired before the player auction to be held on June 11.
Colombo: National cricket team's captain Babar Azam has signed a contract with Lanka Premier League.
According to Sri Lankan media, Babar Azam is among the list of cricketers who have signed a direct contract in LPL.
Captain Babar Azam will be playing for Colombo Strikers, besides Matheesha Pathirana and Chamika Karunaratne.
David Miller, Matthew Wade, Shakib Al Hasan, and Tabraiz Shamsi are also signed directly in LPL, and Sri Lankan cricketers are also among the direct signed players.
According to the media, the auction of players for Lankan Premier League will be held on June 11.
Lanka Premier League is scheduled from July 31 to August 22.
