Pervaiz Elahi's son Moonis Elahi stated that his father was arrested in a false cases.


Lahore: The arrested President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will be produced in the court today (Friday).
Yesterday, Pervaiz Elahi left home—Zahoor Elahi Palace located in Gulberg Lahore—in a bulletproof car when police and anti-corruption team stopped his car.
However, when Pervaiz Elahi did not get down from the car, the windows of the vehicle were broken and was forcibly taken out and arrested.
Punjab Information Minister Aamir Mir said police was looking for Elahi and he tried to escape, however he was captured.
Sources told that the former Chief Minister had allegedly corruption cases registered against him in Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin and three cases in solid waste management.
His interim bail was canceled few days when Anti-Corruption Court (ATC) had issued orders to arrest him and present before court till June 6.
On the other hand, Pervaiz Elahi's son Moonis Elahi stated that his father was arrested in a false cases.
Turning to Twitter, he wrote: “My father told me that even if I get arrested, we have to support Imran Khan”.
Three days ago my parents repeated the same thing, he added, stating that we are and will remain in PTI.
