Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed government officials to provide relief to the rain-affected areas.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the NDMA to ensure relief, and rehabilitation measures in rain-affected areas of the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a statement, he directed the authorities concerned to submit a report within 24 hours regarding relief activities.
He also instructed us to take emergency measures because Cyclone BIPARJOY heading towards Karachi.
Shehbaz said NDMA should make preparations in collaboration with the Sindh government.
Shehbaz Sharif directed to provide full assistance to people during storms and rains in Balochistan province as well.
The PM expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives due to rains in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Chairman Lahore Electric Supply Company Hafiz Nauman called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the steps taken by LESCO to resolve the issue of electricity demand and supply and electricity theft.
Chairman LESCO also briefed Shehbaz Sharif about the implementation of the Prime Minister's solarization project within the limits of LESCO.
