Mohammad Amir expressed his concerns over the ongoing deadlock surrounding the venue of the 2023 Asia Cup.

Lahore: Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir has voiced his disappointment with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), accusing them of displaying childish behavior and disrespect towards the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
While discussing the issue, he highlighted the consistent disregard shown towards the PCB by the BCCI.
India has refused to travel to Pakistan for the tournament, and the PCB had proposed a hybrid model to resolve the deadlock.
However, media reports suggest that the BCCI is not inclined to follow that suggestion either.
Amir stated, "The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is being completely written off, which means it is being treated disrespectfully. It's as if the cricket board or Pakistan cricket itself has no value, and the BCCI is continuously making efforts to prove that."
He further added, "It seems that no matter what you do, it doesn't affect us. It's like telling a child not to eat chocolate; they will insist on eating it. Whenever the PCB suggests something, the BCCI comes up with various excuses such as bad weather, high expenses, or security reasons."
Addressing security concerns, Amir defended Pakistan's commitment to providing a safe environment for cricket.
He praised the PCB for extending exceptional hospitality to the International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation during their recent visit and emphasized that every precaution had been taken to ensure their security.
"There is only one model, and that is cricket. Whether it takes place in Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, or Bangladesh, let it happen peacefully. Even in Pakistan, if someone creates a security issue, the ICC team was here just four days ago. I was also present at the National Cricket Academy, and PCB provided them with exceptional hospitality," concluded Amir.
