Karachi: In view of Cyclone Biparjoy, the water level at Keti Bandar continued to rise, therefore several villages of Kharo Chan were submerge.
According to details, the water in the coastal areas of Badin came close to the fishermen's settlement.
In Karachi's Ibrahim Hydari area, the water level rose up to several feet, while in the coastal areas of Thatta, Sajawal and Badin, high transmission line poles collapsed due to rain and strong winds that resulted in the suspension of power supply in many areas.
On the other hand, Keti Bandar city was evacuated before the arrival of the storm, while evacuation also started from the coastal areas of Badin, Sajawal.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that 22,260 people have been shifted to safe places from the coastal belt of Sindh.
Yesterday, Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman stated that hurricane will definitely hit Keti port. People are reluctant to vacate but their lives are precious, they will be forced out.
While holding a press conference in Islamabad, Sherry added: “Government has started measures to keep the citizens safe,” adding that Keti Bandar, Thatta and Badin have been affected.
On the other hand, Bipar Joy, which is moving towards Pakistan and India, has been downgraded to a very severe cyclonic storm.
As per estimates of Meteorological Department, the storm will hit on the afternoon or evening of June 15 between Keti Bandar in Sindh and Indian Gujarat, the wind speed in the storm can be 100 to 120 km per hour.
The cyclone is 380 km away from Karachi and 370 km away from Thatta while the water level at Keti Bandar is continuously rising.
