The land route from Karachi to Manora has been partially cut off while there is a risk of urban flooding due to heavy rain in Karachi.


Karachi: Seaview Road Karachi has been closed for traffic in the view of Cyclone Biparjoy.
According to media reports, the sea water level has risen at Ibrahim Hydari, Manora, Camp Mount and Hawkes Bay beaches. Sea water has reached the road up to Machli Chowk at Hawke's Bay, while in Ibrahim Hydari water has entered the populous area.
Apart from this, the land route from Karachi to Manora has been partially cut off while there is a risk of urban flooding due to heavy rain in Karachi.
Defence Housing Authority (DHA) administration has directed the people living near the beach to vacate their houses. On the other hand, the development work in DHA could not be completed before the rains due to which there is fear of accidents during rains.
It is pertinent to note that the direction of the Arabian sea cyclone has changed, Bipper Joy has started moving away from the Karachi coast, the cyclone will enter Pakistani territory on Thursday at 11 am and will hit Katy Bandar.

The cyclone is 240 kilometers away from the south and south-west of Keti Bandar.
