NA discusses 2023-24 budget
The meeting discussed the need to construct dams to address the issue of water shortage.
Islamabad: The National Assembly is continuing discussion on the budget for the year 2023-24.
Participating in the debate, Riaz-ul-Haq said: “Insignificant funds have been allocated in the budget for the construction of water reservoirs”.
He stressed that construction of dams should be prioritized to address the issue of water shortage.
The chair expressed concerns over the death of migrants including those from Pakistan in a boat accident in Greece.
“Government should take notice of it and take firm action against the human smugglers,” he added.
