Islamabad: Former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has directed the party workers to gear up for the upcoming elections.
The crucial announcement came after the General Council meeting of the party held on Friday where the leadership was elected.
Shahbaz Sharif emerged as the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N unopposed, while Maryam Nawaz assumed the role of Chief Organizer and Senior Vice President. Ahsan Iqbal, on the other hand, was elected as the General Secretary.
Highlighting the challenges faced by party workers, Nawaz Sharif acknowledged their unwavering commitment and resilience in the face of oppression and tyranny.
He emphasized that the workers, just like the party leaders, have made sacrifices in the pursuit of democracy. According to latest reports, Nawaz Sharif stressed the importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming general elections, urging the party to spread its message throughout the country.
He called for unity among party leaders and workers, emphasizing the need to mobilize support from all corners of the nation.
With these directives in place, the Pakistan Muslim League -N is set to intensify its efforts in preparing for the elections, aiming to make its presence felt nationwide.
As the political landscape takes shape, all eyes are on the party as it embarks on its journey to secure a prominent position in the upcoming electoral contest.
It is worth mentioning here that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also directed the party workers to start preparations for the general elections.
