Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has made the announcement of the moon sighting, saying that they have received several testimonies about the moon sighting.


Lahore: The moon of Zul-hajj was sighted, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Monday evening. The Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated on June 29, with the traditional fervor and zeal.
Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad made the announcement of the moon sighting. He said they received several testimonies about sighting the moon.
“Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on June 29,” said Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
In addition, the zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees also held meetings at their respective headquarters to determine the sighting of the moon.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia and Oman had announced that Eidul Azha would be celebrated on June 28 in both countries, following the sighting of the Zilhaj moon there on Sunday.
