interior ministry has approved Gogi’s arrest via Interpol

Islamabad: Federal government has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to arrest Farah Khan aka Farah Gogi—friend of Bushra Bibi— from foreign country via Interpol, GNN reported.
According to details, interior ministry has approved Gogi’s arrest via Interpol issuing the red warrant against her.
Earlier on June 6, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Farah and her husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar. Its inquiries revealed that Gogi and her husband Ahsan Jamil have 117 bank accounts and four foreign bank accounts registered in their names.
The bureau also said that alleged transactions of Rs4.5 billion have been made in these accounts during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tenure. The couple also own a luxury apartment in Dubai. They have eight properties in Lahore and one bungalow registered in their name in Islamabad. They also own more than 12 vehicles for which they have been summoned.
Responding to which Farah Khan and her husband on the same day challenged the powers of NAB asserting that bureau does not have the authority to investigate private business matters.
They also argued that the bank accounts presented as evidence for initiating the investigation are already visible and do not warrant further scrutiny.
In their reply to NAB, the duo stated that the bureau lacks jurisdiction in probing private matters.
They emphasized that the information mentioned in the notice is already accessible and does not require any further accountability.
Furthermore, they asserted that they have the right to present their arguments on this matter, asserting that nothing is being concealed.
