PIA's last Hajj flight departs from Karachi
PIA's pre-Hajj operations began on May 21 and continued till June 22.
Karachi: The first phase of Hajj operation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been completed as the last flight from Karachi departed for Jeddah.
According to the report, total 61,467 pilgrims departed to perform Hajj this year during the PIA operation of 268 flights, in which more than 41,000 state pilgrims, over 19,000 private and 600 attendants arrived in Madinah and Jeddah.
PIA's pre-Hajj operations began on May 21 and continued till June 22, with direct flights departing from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Peshawar.
It has also been stated in the report that pilgrims from Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan and Quetta traveled to Jeddah via Karachi.
