Islamabad: Islamabad and several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced tremors from an earthquake, with the epicenter near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, according to the Seismic Monitoring Center.
The earthquake, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, struck at 9:58 AM on Thursday, causing fear among residents in Swat, Girdonawa, Charsadda, Lower Dir, and Mardan.
The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 170 kilometers.
