NEPRA again hikes power tariff by Rs1.90 per unit
The increased tariff will make the consumers suffer by Rs22.60 billion in a month.
Islamabad: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) again increased the prices of electricity by Rs1.90 per unit on Tuesday, GNN reported.
According to details, the energy rate is been increased under the purview of the monthly fuel adjustment charges.
The increased tariff will make the consumers suffer by Rs22.60 billion in a month.
Hearing for the case of hike in power price of Rs1.49 for K-electric Supply Company will also be held after which the rates will increase for Karachi consumers also.
It was told in the today’s hearing that most of the electric supply is wasted due to fault in the lines of anti-DC which also makes the consumers suffer. The expensive power plants also impacts the consumers.
Earlier on yesterday, the power rate was increased by Rs1.25 and today again this raise is made in the price.
