Accountability court rules action to place Nawaz Sharif on the exit control list found to be unlawful, decision states.

Lahore: Lahore's accountability court has issued a detailed verdict in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills case, stating that the action to place Nawaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL) was not in accordance with the law.
The verdict reveals that Nawaz Sharif has been subjected to a political vendetta, with the court instructing his acquittal.
Previous government had forced the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to initiate a reference against Nawaz Sharif to undermine him.
According to the verdict, relief granted to the main culprits should also be extended to Nawaz Sharif, as he is entitled to the same relief or release, based on the Supreme Court's decisions.
However, the verdict was also given to the co-accused.
As per the detailed verdict, NAB and the Revenue Board have been instructed to remove Nawaz Sharif and his shares from the list of non-beneficial owners of his properties.
Copies of the court's decision will be sent to the Chairman of NAB and others.
The court assistant mentioned that the proper procedure was not followed in the action to place Nawaz Sharif on the ECL.
Shareholders of Nawaz Sharif's properties have raised objections against freezing the assets.
