Karachi: Former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Shahid Afridi, shared a loving message on the occasion of his eldest daughter's departure.
The farewell ceremony for Aqsa Afridi took place in Karachi last night, July 7, and Shahid Afridi took the opportunity to express his affectionate message for his daughter.
The former cricketer, in a heartfelt message filled with prayers, said, "My beloved daughter, it feels like just yesterday when I held you in my arms, and on that day, I made a promise to myself that I will never leave your side. Although you are embarking on a new chapter in your life, your heart will always remain in mine because I am the man who loved you before anyone else. May Allah protect both of you and bless you with a beautiful life together."
Aqsa tied the knot with Naseer Nasir in December 2022.
The farewell ceremony took place at a local venue in the Defence area of Karachi.
Several prominent figures, including former captains Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Amir Jamal, and Azam Khan, were present at the event to extend their good wishes.
Moin Khan, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Akram, and Waqar Younis were also among the guests.
