Fire breaks out at Gujranwala oil refinery
The exact reason of fire couldn’t be ascertained yet
Gujranwala: A massive fire broke out in an oil refinery unit in Ali Pur Chattha near Gujranwala on Sunday.
Rescue teams arrived on the scene and started battling the fire. As per rescue officials, the fire started in the boiler chamber of the oil refinery, and five rescue vehicles assisted in the firefighting operation.
According to sources, the refinery contained 25,000 liters of crude oil. The actual cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
PM Sharif took notice of the eruption of fire in the oil refinery and directed immediate and swift measures for safeguarding public and the staff deputed there.
The premier also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
