Former PTI MPs arrested as ATC rejects bail request
Former PTI leaders Arbab Waseem Hayat and Malik Wajid are taken into custody.
Peshawar: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Peshawar has rejected the bail request of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly members, Arbab Waseem Hayat and Malik Wajid, in a terrorism-related case.
Consequently, the police arrested both individuals after their appearance in court.
Prior to their arrest, Arbab Waseem Hayat and Malik Wajid had submitted a bail application in court.
The case against them was registered at the Khan Raziq police station in Peshawar.
Following the court's decision to dismiss their bail request, the police took both individuals into custody from the premises of the court.
The charges against them pertain to alleged involvement in terrorism.
