Fawad has already been serving as Additional Director General in IB.

Islamabad: Fawad Asadullah has been appointed as the new Additional Director General (DG) of Intelligence Bureau (IB) as the tenure of his service has been extended.
The service of Fawad has been extended on contract basis for three years. He is the first officer whose tenure has been increased.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the appointment of Fawad Asadullah after which the Establishment Division issued an official notification.
Senior officer Fawad Asadullah has been appointed in important positions in various departments of the organization.
Earlier, Fawad has already been serving as Additional Director General in IB.
