Chairman WAPDA briefs PM on energy generation projects
Lieutenant General Retired Sajjad Ghani informs Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the progress of construction work on all the mega projects including Dasu, Diamir Bhasha and Mohmand Dam.
Islamabad: Chairman WAPDA Lieutenant General Retired Sajjad Ghani called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday.
During the meeting, Chairman WAPDA informed the Prime Minister about the ongoing hydroelectricity, low-cost energy generation projects in the country.
The Chairman WAPDA also informed the Prime Minister about the progress of construction work on all the mega projects including Dasu, Diamir Bhasha and Mohmand Dam.
He also briefed the Prime Minister about the effects of recent rains on the water reservoirs of the country.
It may be mentioned here that variuos cities including Lahore have been witnessing hours long load-shedding for last couple of months. The humid weather conditions and blackout of power for hours cause serious trouble for the citizens. The peoples, especially the working class cannot sleep properly in the night which make them feel drained in the day time and affect their working. Many of the shopkeepers and businessmen complain about outages of the power in their respective areas these days.
