PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistani youth are making major strides in the field of information technology (IT) while speaking at the opening ceremony.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the Online Temporary Mobile Phone Registration system for overseas Pakistanis on Tuesday.
The Online Temporary Mobile Phone Registration system for overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals under which the applicant will be granted 120 days without payment of custom duties
The initiative will make it possible for overseas Pakistanis and visitors from other countries to use their own phones while in Pakistan. On each visit to Pakistan, they can apply and take advantage of a free 120-day registration.
This resource is available to overseas Pakistanis, international students, international workers, and foreign nationals traveling to Pakistan for leisure or business.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistani youth are making major strides in the field of information technology (IT) while speaking at the opening ceremony.
He raised attention to the "immense opportunities" in the industry and urged Pakistanis to seize them. He claimed that the present budget of his cabinet had enough money set up for various youth-oriented programs.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has also been established in Pakistan, according to the prime minister, in order to draw in international investment and boost the nation's economy.
He referred to SIFC as a program for economic recovery and stated that the IT Ministry is crucial to fulfilling the objectives established in this respect.
In order to increase IT exports, he emphasized the importance of promoting IT parks nationwide.
Shehbaz said that a non-financial package will be unveiled in the coming days for the benefit of the Pakistanis living abroad.
