Kaaba cover changed as new Islamic Year begins

Makkah: The cover of Kaaba has been changed at the beginning of the new Islamic year.
According to details, he Saudi Supreme Court confirmed that the month of Dhul-Hajj has been completed on Tuesday and 1st of Muharram 1445 is on Wednesday, July 19 (today).
At the beginning of the new Islamic year, the process of changing the cover of the Kaaba was started.
According to Arab media, the changing of the cover of the Kaaba started after the Isha prayer and it was completed in three to four hours.
The report also told that the Kaaba cover costs more than two million Saudi Riyals.
In the first phase, the old cover of the Kaaba was removed with great skill from all sides, protective barriers were placed around the Kaaba while electronic lifters were used to lift the cover up to the roofs.
It is pertinent to note that the moon of Muharram 1445 Hijri was not seen in Pakistan.
A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held at Deputy Commissioner Office Quetta to see the moon of Muharram 1445 Hijri.
While holding a press conference after the meeting, the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, said that no proof of sighting of the moon of Muharram has been received in the entire country.
Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said that it was decided by consensus that the 1st of Muharram 1445 Hijri will be on Thursday, July 20 and Ashura Day, 10th of Muharram will be on July 29.
