SC reconstitutes first bench to hear bail plea of PTI chief tomorrow
Justice Yahya Afridi will head a three-member bench comprising Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Musarrat Hilali.
Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Sunday reconstituted first bench to hear the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman in the Quetta lawyer murder case.
The top court three-member bench will take up the matter tomorrow (Monday). Justice Yahya Afridi will head the bench while Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Musarrat Hilali are the other members’ bench. Justice Musarrat Hilali would replace Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar on the three-member bench.
The development took place after the bench hearing the cause list issued on Friday was re-established.
The apex court had earlier summoned PTI chairman in a personal capacity for the bail hearing. The PTI chief, in his addresses, rejected the allegations, saying that the case was baseless and politically motivated.
