Karachi: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) steward went ‘missing’ on Monday from a hotel after his arrival in Toronto, Canada from Lahore.
According to the PIA administration, flight crew member Muntazir Mehdi landed on Friday from Lahore to Toronto on aircraft PK-798 of the national carrier.
He had been residing in a hotel in the Canadian city with other team members.
When the PTI steward failed to show up for work on a flight back to Pakistan, the mystery surrounding his disappearance became public.
Following that, the airline management and Canadian immigration authorities were made aware of the situation.
Four flight attendants and air hostesses from the national carrier entered Canada before Mehdi to obtain citizenship.
