Cyber attack targets 12 Norwegian ministries
Eric Hope assured that the prime minister's office, foreign affairs, defense, and law ministries are secure against breach.


Norway: Norway has experienced a cyber attack targeting 12 of its ministries.
The head of the government agency responsible for providing services, Erik Hope, stated that they detected anomalies on a plate form and promptly rectified the issue.
According to him, the abnormal traffic on the platform led to the detection of the cyber attack, which came to light on July 12.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
Hope emphasized that it is premature to speculate on the motive or the perpetrators behind the attack.
He further assured that the Prime Minister's Office, Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Law ministries were secure against the cyber breach as they utilize a separate IT platform.
