Colombo: During the Sri Lanka Test match, Sarfaraz Ahmed sustained an injury after being struck on the head by a cricket ball.
According to sources, Mohammad Rizwan will replace Sarfaraz Ahmed as the wicketkeeper for the remainder of the match.
Match referee David Boon accepted the request to include Mohammad Rizwan as a substitute for Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was hit on the helmet by a delivery from Ashitha Fernando.
Sarfaraz Ahmed continued to feel discomfort in his head, prompting the physio to escort him off the field.
He will be under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board's medical panel, where a thorough examination will be conducted.
