Islamabad: The National Assembly on Tuesday approved the Official Secrets Amendment Bill 2023.

The goal of this bill is to increase the Act's efficacy in light of the shifting social landscape, protecting official records and ensuring safety and security.
Additionally, all present and future gifts received at the state repository would be put up for public auction, according to the Toshakhana Management and Regulation Bill 2023, which was passed on the same day.
Furthermore, the revenues from these auctions will be put aside into a special account and used to fund elementary education for girls in the least developed parts of the nation. Murtaza Javed Abbassi, the minister of parliamentary affairs, presented these bills.

The National Assembly also passed a resolution on Tuesday in addition to the legislative issues, encouraging the administration to quickly ensure that workers in both public and private institutions get the minimum wage. The proposal was made by Aliya Kamran.
