Mumbai: Niten Desai, the acclaimed art director behind successful Bollywood films like "Lagaan" and "Munnabhai MBBS," was found dead in his studio, apparently a victim of suicide.
The demise of Niten Desai occurred in his studio located in Maharashtra, where he was facing financial difficulties.
It is reported that his company was burdened with debts exceeding INR 1.5 crores, leading to severe financial stress, resulting in his company going bankrupt.
The lifeless body of Niten Desai was discovered this morning within the premises of his studio, N.D. Studios.
Police are suspecting suicide as the cause of his death, as it is believed he took his life around 4 a.m.
During his illustrious 20-year career, Niten Desai contributed his artistic direction to numerous Hindi films, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
His artistry enhanced renowned films like "Munnabhai MBBS," "Lagaan," "Jodha Akbar," and "Devdas," among others.
