Babar Azam climbs to 4th position in ICC Men's Test rankings
Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, has seen an improvement in the latest ICC Men's Test rankings following his team's impressive 2-0 victory against Sri Lanka in the longer format of the game.

Colombo: The talented batsman, Babar, has moved up two spots to secure the fourth position in the rankings. He finds himself among the company of other remarkable players such as Steve Smith (Australia) in third place, Joe Root (England) in second place, and Kane Williamson (New Zealand) at the top spot.
Pakistan's unbeaten start in the new ICC World Test Championship cycle has resulted in several players making significant progress on the rankings. Abdullah Shafique (up 27 places to 21st), Mohammad Rizwan (up four spots to equal 29th), and Agha Salman (up 23 positions to 35th) have all made notable advancements in the Test batting rankings.

The bowlers have also been rewarded for their performances, with rising pacer Naseem Shah climbing seven spots to equal 37th and left-arm spinner Noman Ali improving 13 places to 42nd, making them the most notable improvers.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, who impressed with six wickets in two Tests against Sri Lanka, has jumped three positions to sixth in the ICC Test bowlers' rankings.
