Islamabad: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench on Thursday granted bail to Shehryar Afridi, three other PTI leaders.
Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench declared the detention of four Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Shehryar Khan Afridi, illegal.
The court ruled that Farrukh Afridi, Nadia Hussain, and Shah Jahan must all be released right away.
The PTI leaders' 15-day detention order was declared illegal and unconstitutional by Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu.
The court highlighted that it will not tolerate any unlawful actions taken against individuals.
In the wheat theft case reported to the Bahawalpur police station, the court also granted Shehryar Khan Afridi protective bail.
Additionally, it rejected the government's justification for keeping the Deputy Commissioner and CPO in custody in order to maintain peace and order.
