The new system will enable instant identification of documents and persons.
Islamabad: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Wednesday inaugurated the new integrated Border Management System (BMS) of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad, to enhance capacity building of the agency.
It was informed on the occasion that this system would be available at all immigration check posts to verify passports and Pakistani visas.
The new system will enable instant identification of documents and persons. It was informed that the document reading system would be further improved through optical character recognition (OCR).
The system is fully integrated with other agencies, including National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Directorate of Passport and Immigration, Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) and Police.
