NAB arrests Moonis Elahi's secretary Suhail Asghar Awan
The son of PTI President and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz has been facing two cases of money laundering and corruption.
Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has taken Suhail Asghar Awan, the secretary of Munir Elahi, into custody on charges of obtaining substantial kickbacks in government contracts.
The NAB presented the accused before the court of Judge Zabir Shahzad Kiani in the Accountability Court.
NAB maintains that the suspect is allegedly involved in multi-million rupee corruption.
The accused reportedly received significant kickbacks from government contracts, supported by substantial evidence.
According to the law, the accused Suhail Asghar Awan is required to produce documents and other items for recording.
The court ordered the accused to provide his physical remand.
While conducting proceedings, the court approved a physical remand of Suhail Asghar until August 16th.
The court also directed NAB to request an investigation report from the upcoming hearing.
