Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) suspended the notification banning the sale of petrol without helmets.
Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh heard the petition made by a citizen Irfan Bashir.
The court suspended the ban notification, issued notice to the federal government, and sought their response.
The judge remarked that we can’t impose this ban by mere notification, doing so is a denial of fundamental rights.
It is appropriate for the government to legislate in this regard.
