Heavy rainfall expected in Punjab from August 13th to 16th
Potential for intense showers in Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin: PDMA spokesperson
Lahore: Most districts in Punjab are currently experiencing intense heat, but the forecast indicates upcoming rainfall in the region in the coming days.
According to the spokesperson for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the majority of Punjab's districts will continue to experience warm and humid conditions, with the possibility of monsoon showers from August 13th to 16th.
As per the PDMA spokesperson, there are chances of heavy rainfall in Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Additionally, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mirpur, and Gilgit may witness thunderstorms accompanied by rain.
The spokesperson also provided information about the river conditions, stating that rivers Chenab, Ravi, Jhelum, and Sutlej are flowing at normal levels.
However, there is a moderate flood in the Tunis area of River Sindh, and Tarbela and Mangla dams are at 95% capacity.
