Islamabad: Pakistan witnessed a slight decline in its single-day COVID-19 deaths tally with 79 people losing their lives during last twenty-four hours. Country is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,213 cases of coronavirus were reported while 79 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,149.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 834,146.
As many as 728,044 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,377 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 306,929 in the province with 8,572 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 285,626 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,667.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 120,064 in the province with 3,392 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 22,620 confirmed cases while 237 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 17,371 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 483. On the other hand, there are 5,327 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 76,209 cases in the capital city while 691 people have lost their lives.
