Independence celebrations are being celebrated in traditional style across the country.


Islamabad: The 76th Independence Day of Pakistan is being celebrated today (Monday) with great enthusiasm across the country.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the devotees decorated the whole country by putting up colorful lights, green flags and buntings.
The decoration of the buildings around major highways in Karachi changed the colors of the city, Islamabad also got a rainbow of colors.
Independence celebrations are being celebrated in traditional style across the country including Quetta, Peshawar and Multan.
Whereas at 12 o'clock in the night, fireworks were displayed at Greater Iqbal Park, Punjab Stadium, Kalma Chowk and other places in Lahore.
However, later the day started with a gun salute, 31 guns were fired in the federal capital Islamabad while 21 guns were fired in the provincial capitals. Apart from this, special prayers were offered for national development, unity, peace and prosperity in Fajr prayer.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a solemn ceremony of changing of the guards was held at shrine of Quaid Karachi and shrine of Iqbal Lahore.
