Beijing: Spokesperson of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Wenbin said that they condemned the terrorist attack on Chinese engineers in Gwadar.
He stated that any attempt to sabotage Pakistan-China friendship and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will not succeed.
The spokesperson said: “China will continue to work together with Pakistan to combat the threats of terrorism”.
Spokesperson Wang Wenbin, said in a media briefing that a convoy of 13 patrolling engineers was targeted, and no Chinese citizen was killed or injured in the attack.
Wang Wenbin added: “The Chinese officials in Pakistan will continue to work for the protection of the projects, and the Pakistani authorities should bring the planners to justice”.
Chinese citizens, companies and institutions working on projects in Pakistan should be vigilant, he stated.
It should be noted that earlier on August 13, a convoy of Chinese citizens was attacked near Gwadar port, but the security forces foiled the terrorist attack on the convoy and killed two attackers.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, there was no loss of life in the terrorist attack. The security forces are determined to defeat every attempt of the enemies of peace and prosperity.
