15 killed, 30 injured as bus falls into ravine in Attock
Attock: Following an unfortunate incident, at least 15 people including a woman and minor were killed while 30 others sustained injuries when a bus carrying passengers fall into a ravine on the road near Burhan Interchange last night.
According to details, the accident took place when the speeding bus tried to avoid an accident with another car and fell into the ditch near Burhan Interchange in Hasan Abdal, killing 15 people including a 32-year old woman and a five-month old girl.
The local police reported that the bus overturned while passing through Interchange.
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital while whereas seriously injured were referred to Rawalpindi hospital.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari expressed deep grief over the incident and directed the civil administration of to provide best hospital care to the victims.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has also expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the accident.
