Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir visited Asman Manza in South Waziristan District on Wednesday.

The army chief visited the South Waziristan District's Sherwangi area near Asman Manza and received a briefing on the current security situation, including ongoing counterterrorism and intelligence operations, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The COAS Munir felicitated the "unflinching resolve in fighting the menace of terrorism" displayed by the officers and soldiers stationed in the area during his visit.

The army chief added that Shuhadas [martyrs] are the pride of the country and that their sacrifices will not be in vain till Pakistan regains total peace and stability.
